Walking Tour - For hiking lovers!

Samos is an island full of mountain paths, rich vegetation and old hiking trails. If you’d like to explore the hidden treasures of the island on foot, then our walking tour is ideal for you! Four walking tours are available every week and each day we take a different route! Pick the ideal one for you - or even all four!

Duration: 8 hours

Your starting point is the picturesque seaside village of Kokkari, where you will begin your tour in the traditional square enjoying a “welcome coffee” stop. Then you will hike uphill through old walking paths up to the traditional mountain village of Vourliotes. Once you leave the village behind you - we will walk you through the most beautiful and wild romantic landscape of Samos. Descending along the route of an ancient 'donkey footpath', you will reach a traditional old church where you will have time for a short stop and breathtaking photos.
You will then continue walking through the constantly varying scenery, passing along vineyards, olive, cypress and lemon/orange groves, as well as hidden country houses on very old footpaths. Through natural shaped channels of trees and bushes, you will finally reach the picturesque village of Manolates. Here you will take a short lunch break, before you take the downhill footpath through the serene Valley of the Nightingales, which will eventually lead you to the finish point of our walk.

Your starting point is the old mountain village of Drakei, on the southwestern part of the island, where you will begin your tour in the traditional square enjoying a “welcome coffee” stop. Then you will hike all the way to one of the most beautiful sceneries of Samos: the beach of Megalo Seitani. It is a national park and a reserve of the seal Monachus-Monachus. Feel free to take a swim, once you reach this enchanting site - you might get lucky to see a seal!
After taking some stunning photos, you will continue your hike east through a lush mountain path till you reach the stunning beach of Potami in Karlovassi area.

Your starting point is the scenic village of Platanos - choked with woods and vineyards - owing its name to the huge plane trees grown at the square by its famous spring! You will begin your tour from its traditional square, enjoying its fresh mountain water! A view to the southwest is open from this village and you will see the southwestern coast of Samos, along with the islands of Fourni and some of Dodecanese islands complex.
From there, you will hike through vineyards and olive trees at an old path leading to the scenic village of Kontakeika. A place, flooded with sun almost all day, in a beautiful hilly landscape surrounded by lots of gardens and vineyards. With breathtaking panoramic view to the west to the Kerkis mountain ranging down to the coast and Karlovassi town. The village has abundant current water and considerable well cultivated areas, as the village supplies with vegetables the entire island! You will notice a massive church in the center of the village, open-air fields, green houses and neoclassical architecture. You will love it!

Your starting point is the seaside village of Ireon - which took its name after the mythical goddess Hera and her temple which lies nearby. You will begin your tour from the village's square and you will take the path close to the river - where the legend sais that goddess Hera was born at, therefore the area was connected with her worship.
Then you will contine your hike north, towards the evergreen village of Myli, crossing olive groves and a fertile valley. Myli village is known for its orange production on the island, therefore don't miss the chance to try some freshly squeezed orange juice! The large square of Myli is very pleasant and cozy, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. Our hike will continue east, towards the mountain village of Pagondas (180m altitude)! The route is one of winding roads through the pretty nature and on your way you'll get the chance to get beautiful views of the offshore islet of Samiopoula!
The view from the village is extraordinary, as it looks over the villages of the valley and the south coast of the island. Pagondas village is known for its pottery production, therefore you can find beautiful ceramics. Here you will take a short lunch break, before you take the downhill footpath through the serene Valley of the Imvrasos, which will eventually lead you to the finish point of our walk at Ireon village.
